NaPoWriMo - 10/30 - "Yellow Supremacy"

Ok… now I’m going to try a Triolet (Tree-Oh-Lay) which apparently is moderately simple… Another French form but with a lot of repetition. It’s an 8 line poem where the first line is repeated thrice (3 times-- I’m feeling fancy…) and the second line is repeated twice (<-- 2 times) leaving 3 more lines to rhyme: 2 with the first line and 1 with the second. Thanks to Robert Lee Brewer from Writer’s Digest for the explanation and example stanza:

A (first line)
B (second line)
a (rhymes with first line)
A (repeat first line)
a (rhymes with first line)
b (rhymes with second line)
A (repeat first line)
B (repeat second line)

Here we go…

Yellow Supremacy

Legos are fun for all ages
In a world of colorful bricks
Yet I see only yellow faces
Legos are fun for all ages
Yellow supremacy; oddly racist
Bloodlines are pure while colorfully mixed?
Legos are fun for all ages…
In a world of colorful bricks…
